DROP-IN POLICY: Per day drop-ins are allowed in some adult classes with the consent of the instructor or where noted in the description. Students may drop-in ONLY 3 times before they are required to purchase a half or full class (no other fractional classes allowed), unless otherwise noted.

Print your favorite images the way you want, where you want. Beginners learn the basics of screen printing. Returning students can work on individual projects, review techniques and experiment with image development. Demonstrations weekly. Ink and paper not included. Supply list available. Bring ideas, drawings or photographs to first class. Teens welcome.

Calling all Material People! We'll learn basic screen-printing techniques with a focus on fabric. Add new dimensions to your quilts, print T-shirts for the family, create unique scarves, linens, button covers, ribbons, floor cloths - the possibilities are endless. The class will be tailored to individual’s interests. Bring ideas and images to the first class. Supply list available. Class is also suitable for those wishing to print on paper.

Take advantage of the Center's well-equipped screen print facility to work on your own projects. Students may use the studio during the hours listed for a maximum of 3 hours per week. Prerequisite: Must have have taken screen print class at RAC in the last year and/or have previous screen printing experience and approval of RAC instructor. See drop-in policy for restrictions.

Feb 26 Emory Douglas - poster protest  
"Artists are here to disturb the peace" wrote James Baldwin and that’s what the images created by Emory Douglas are known for. The former Minister of Culture for the Black Panthers will return to RAC to present an overview of his artwork of political protest spanning 40 years. He will engage in a discussion about the current political landscape and its effects on work created by artists today. The work of Emory Douglas is exhibited throughout the world, most recently in England, New Zealand and at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in NYC and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
