Kikis fall magic 
Instructors: Kiki Rostad (for ages 6½ - 12)
Let your child experience the joy of the season. Students work with a variety of materials clay, paint, glaze, stickers and glitter all based on a fall theme. Science, art and magic combine to make pumpkins, bats, arachnids, ghosts, clay dragons, wizards, witches, power sticks and wands. Please bring Halloween books and magical creature stories to share. Finger food potluck on last day. Bring box to take home projects. Dress for a mess.

fine art cartooning (for ages 8 -16)

Have fun creating your own original characters and caricatures, inventing imaginary heroes, heroines, villains and creatures. Design "surprise panels" and "zoom" drawings while learning a wide range of exciting cartooning techniques using drawing, painting and sculptural media.

Inspired by the very best of children's literature, children create their own stories, illustrations, books and illuminated manuscripts. Using a variety of media and techniques (markers, watercolors, gouache and printmaking), young artists become young authors as well. The last day of class is a book signing party!

Ever want to re-create a scene in real life or picture from your mind? This class will teach you the skills and techniques to draw realistically, from people and objects, to cars and building interiors. Learn to see things as they really are so you can reproduce them accurately through your own eyes. Bring a discarded book to use as a visual art journal to the first class meeting.

Saturday screen 
Instructor: Raymond Haywood (for ages 10 - 15)
Print your favorite images the way you want, where you want. Beginners learn
the basics of screen printing and will become comfortable printing one- and
two-color print editions primarily on paper. Returning students can work on
individual projects, review techniques and experiment with a variety of
printing methods including stenciling and layering with emphasis on image
development. Weekly demonstrations. Ink & paper not included; supply list
available at beginning of class. Bring ideas, drawings or photographs to
first class. Teens welcome. Limit 8 students.

Please note:
For all children's classes, we encourage you to enroll early so that we may have an accurate student count one week prior to the start of classes. We can then create a waiting list for classes that have reached their capacity or give families more notice if a class must be cancelled due to low enrollment. Security rules require that parents come into the Art Center to drop off and pick up children.
